Hi! My name is Alison Hays. I am a passionate teacher who has been teaching primary kids for 17 years. I have worked in many different roles that have had a strong STEM education focus.

I have worked as a classroom teacher and as a Specialist in teaching Numeracy in Western Australia. I relocated to Sydney 4 1/2 years ago and have been working as teacher in NSW. In these rolls I worked across all year levels from pre-school aged children through to middle school aged students. I have also helped in the area of Science education looking at assessment of students compared to system expectations. I love helping kids to achieve their personal potential and giving them opportunity to follow their passions and their gifts.

For all of my career I have been using investigative design process. I love to always strive to engage and develop young minds encouraging them to explore and create their ideas through the use of technology, Science and mathematical concepts.

At home, I have two children aged 6 and 10 who are total STEM addicts that are mad amateur inventors. They in turn have further developed (or pushed me) into my desire to encouraging all young kids to learn STEM skills and concepts that will help them to take on 21st Century challenges as collaborative, creative problem solvers.
